ELM STREET EAGLES SOAR INTO NH REGIONALS, PLACING 14 INTO STATES

The EAGLES wrestling team had 14 grapplers go to Londonderry today to compete in the NH Regional Tourney. All 14 qualified for the NH State Tourney next weekend in Goffstown. We came home with 10 top four finishers and the remaining 4 placed high enough to go as well.

Gaining Bragging Rights - 7-8th grade:

1st PLACE- CHRIS DUBE 175 lbs

2nd PLACE- CAM BENNETT 80 lbs, DEAN KENNEDY 114 lbs, MIKE SMALL 213 lbs, JOSHUA NORMAN 250 lbs

3rd PLACE- DAN BRESEE 165 lbs

4th PLACE- KYLE DUCHARME 104 lbs

Also qualifying were: ALKIM DATO, DEVIN RACKLIFF, OLIVIA TOTH

Bragging Rights as 5-6th Graders:

1st Place- DAVID MUITE 89 lbs

2nd Place- BRIAN TOUPIN 97 lbs, JOHN SWEENEY 114 lbs

EAGLES FINISH THEIR REGULAR SEASON 9-0 UNDEFEATED IN DUAL MEETS

Tonight was the pinacle of their efforts as the ELM STREET EAGLES WRESTLING TEAM finished their regular dual meet season with a victory over a tough Nashua Catholic team 36-35. This victory culminated a perfect record of 9-0 in dual meets for the 2009-2010 season. The Eagles will now go on to the Regional, State, Mark Thibault, New England Tourneys, and the Derry Rebel Classic to complete an eventful year. Gaining their share of wins tonight were:

ELM STREET EAGLES HAVE A STRONG FINISH IN THE TRI-COUNTY TOURNEY

Today the EAGLES WRESTLING TEAM finished in 3rd place out of a twelve team Tri-County Tourney this weekend. The EAGLES captured 1st place in 5 out of their 6 bouts for the finals. In their bouts for 3rd place they gained 3 more medals... In all they had 13 out of 20 wrestlers finish in the Top 4... Today was a real test for the upcoming Mark Thibault Tourney for the EAGLES as they topped the other 3 Nashua M/S with their 3rd place finish ahead of them.

CAPTURING GOLD MEDAL HONORS AND BRAGGING RIGHTS ARE:

TRI-COUNTY DATE CHANGE

The TRI-COUNTY Tourney has been changed to SATURDAY !!!! Same time and place- 7:15 am @ Nashua North H/S.. Drop off the grapplers and go have have breakfast, I will babysit them them just bring me back a coffee, cream and sugar. Wrestling should start around 9:30am.. NASHUA HOLDS OFF A TOUGH PELHAM TEAM

The NASHUA ELM STREET EAGLES held off a tough and determined Pelham team today at home. With several lead changes and the final matches coming up captains Wilson Pellot and Dan Bresee secured their 8th straight victory 37-33. On the season the EAGLES are now standing at 8-0 and will finish their regular season next Thursday at home. All wrestlers were involved in this win whether they won or lost by just staying off their backs to avoid the pin !!
