ELM ST. & MVC WRESTLERS
This past weekend we had 2 events in which Elm St had particapation in. First was our MVC Elite Wrestling Team. On Friday the Team traveled to N. Andover for the opening Kick Off Tourney. Nashua is the 2 Time Defending Regular Season and 2 Time Defending Tournament Champions. The team has gone undefeated in all of its regular season Dual Meets and Championship Tourneys 2 years running. Friday night we met a tough N. Andover team and all good things must come to an end. The Nashua team was finally defeated after hanging tough but fell short in the end. Elm St wrestler Cam Bennett won his match by a pin, upping his MVC record to an amazing 19-3 over 2+ years. Also wrestling was David Muite who came up on the short side, but battled the entire match. Congratulations MVC WRESTLERS. Other current MVC wrestlers include John Sweeney, Brian Toupin.
Elm St had 1 wrestler travel to Bow Nh for the Manchester YMCA Holiday Youth Tournament. The Nashua Gate City Youth Team wrestled real well in this highly competitive Tourney. Cameron Bennett was the sole Elm St wrestler to make the trip. Cam went 3-0 for the day (not giving up any points) and brought home the 1st Place medal, and wall banner. He won his first match by pin and then followed up with 2 consecutive shut outs, 5-0, 4-0. Congratulations Cameron.
